The analysis of your surfing behaviour is usually anonymous; the surfing behaviour cannot be traced back to you. You can object to this analysis or prevent it by not using certain tools. You can find detailed information on this in the following data protection declaration.

2. General information and mandatory information

The operators of this website and its pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. Hence, we handle your personal data as confidential information and in compliance with the statutory data protection regulations and this Data Protection Declaration.
When you use this website, various personal data are collected. Personal data are data that can be used to personally identify you. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.
We would like to point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps. It is not possible to provide seamless protection of data from access by third parties.
Note on the responsible party
The responsible party for data processing on this website is:
The responsible party is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data (names, email addresses, etc.).
Revocation of your consent to the processing of your data
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke consent that you have already given at any time. To do so, an informal email making this request is sufficient. The data processed before we receive your request may still be legally processed.
Right to file complaints with regulatory authorities
If there has been a breach of data protection legislation, the person affected may file a complaint with the competent regulatory authorities. The competent supervisory authority for data protection issues is the data protection officer of the federal state in which our company is based. A list of data protection officers and their contact details can be found at the following link: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links- node.html.
Right to data portability
You have the right to demand that we hand over any data we automatically process based on your consent or in order to fulfil a contract be handed over to you or a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you should demand the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will be done only if it is technically feasible.
SSL and/or TLS encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and for the protection of the transmission of confidential content, such as the orders or inquiries you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by checking whether the address line of the browser switches from ‘http://’ to ‘https://’ and also by the appearance of the lock icon in the browser line.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data that you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

4. Data collection on our website
Cookies
Websites sometimes use so-called cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called ‘session cookies’. They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit.
You can adjust the settings on your browser so that you are informed when cookies are set and only allow cookies in individual cases, accept cookies in certain cases or generally exclude them and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. If you disable cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.
Cookies that are required for the performance of the electronic communications transaction or to provide certain functions you want to use (e.g. the shopping cart function), are stored on the basis of Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies for analysing your surfing behaviour) are stored, these are treated separately in this data protection declaration.
Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources.
The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, which allows the processing of data to fulfil a contract or for measures preliminary to a contract.
Contact form
If you send us enquiries using the contact form, the information you provide in the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing of the data entered into the contact form is therefore carried out exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. For this purpose, an informal message by e-mail to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
The information you have entered into the contact form shall remain with us until you ask us to eradicate the data, revoke your consent to the archiving of data or if the purpose for which the information is being archived no longer exists (e.g. after we have concluded our response to your inquiry). This shall be without prejudice to any mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods.
Processing of data (customer and contract data)
We collect, process and use personal data only to the extent necessary for the establishment, content or modification of the legal relationship (inventory data). This is done on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures. We collect, process and use personal data concerning the use of our website (usage data) only to the extent required to enable the user to access our service or to bill the user for the same.
The customer data collected will be deleted after the order has been completed or the business relationship has ended. This is without prejudice to any statutory retention periods.
Data transmission when concluding a contract for services and digital content
We transmit personally identifiable data to third parties only to the extent required to fulfil the terms of your contract with us, for example, to banks entrusted to process your payments.
Your data will not be transmitted for any other purpose unless you have given your express permission to do so. Your data will not be disclosed to third parties for advertising purposes without your express consent.
The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, which allows the processing of data to fulfil a contract or for measures preliminary to a contract.
5. Analytics
Matomo (formerly: Piwik)
This website uses the open-source web analysis service Matomo (formerly Piwik). Matomo uses so-called ‘cookies’. These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about the use of this website is stored on our server. The IP address is anonymised before storage.
The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will not be disclosed to third parties. You can prevent the storage of cookies by a corresponding setting of your browser software; however, please note that if you do this, you may
not be able to use all the features of this website to the fullest extent possible.
If you do not agree to the storage and use of your data, you can disable the storage and use here. In this case, an opt-out cookie will be stored in your browser that prevents Matomo from storing usage data. If you delete your cookies, the Matomo opt-out cookie will also be deleted. You will need to re-enable the opt-out when you return to our site.
Google Tag Manager
This website uses Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager is a solution that allows marketers to manage website tags through a single interface. The Tag Manager tool itself (which implements the tags) is a cookie-less domain and does not collect any personal data. The tool causes other tags to be triggered, which in turn may collect data under certain circumstances. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If disabled at the domain or cookie level, it will remain disabled for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (‘Google’). The use is based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f. DSGVO. Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’, text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of the use of the website by you.
Google Analytics is a web analysis service operated and provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States). Google processes the website usage data on our behalf and is contractually obliged to take measures to ensure the confidentiality of the processed data.
During your visit to our website, the following data, among other things, is recorded:
- Pages viewed
- The achievement of ‘website goals’ (e.g. contact requests and newsletter registrations)
- Your behaviour on the pages (e.g. clicks, scrolling behaviour and length of stay)
- Your approximate location (country and city)
- Your IP address (in abbreviated form, so that no clear assignment is possible)
- Technical information such as browser, internet service provider, end device and screen resolution
- Source of your visit (i.e. which website or advertising medium referred you to us)
This data is transferred to a Google server in the USA. Google observes the data protection provisions of the ‘EU-US Privacy Shield’ agreement.
This website uses IP anonymisation. The user's IP address is truncated within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area and in the other signatory states to the agreement. Only in individual cases is the IP address first transferred in full to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. This abbreviation means that your IP address is no longer personally identifiable. The user's IP address transmitted by the browser is not combined with other data stored by Google.
As part of the agreement on the commissioned data agreement, which we as the website operator have concluded with Google Inc., the latter uses the collected information to create an evaluation of website use and website activity and provides services associated with internet use.
The data collected by Google on our behalf is used to evaluate the use of our online services by individual users, e.g. to create reports on website activity in order to improve our online services.
You have the option to prevent cookies from being stored on your device by making the appropriate settings in your browser. If your browser does not accept cookies, you may not be able to access all of the functions of this website without restriction.
Furthermore, by installing the browser add-on to disable Google Analytics, you can prevent the information collected by cookies (including your IP address) from being sent to and used by Google Inc.
As an alternative to the browser add-on, especially for browsers on mobile devices, you can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting data by clicking on this link: Google Analytics Opt-Out. This sets an opt-out cookie that prevents the future collection of your data when you visit this website. The opt-out cookie is only valid in this browser and only for our website and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you will need to set the opt-out cookie again.
We also use Google Analytics to evaluate data from Google Ads for statistical purposes. If you do not want this, you can disable it via the Ad Preferences Manager.
For more information about data protection in connection with Google Analytics, see Google Analytics Help.
Google Remarketing
We also use Google's remarketing feature. This allows us to display personalised advertising to you on other websites in appropriate advertising spaces, based on your interests on our website. This option is limited to a maximum of 18 months.
For more information, please refer to the Google Privacy Policy. You can prevent interest-based advertising by installing this browser plugin.
Google Ads Conversion Tracking
We use Google AdWords Conversion Tracking to measure the success of our advertising. After certain goals have been achieved on our website (‘conversions’) – such as completing an order or registering for our newsletter – this goal achievement is recorded by Google. Google can thus measure the number of conversions. In addition, Google will use previously set cookies to determine which advertisements were clicked on previously and were therefore crucial to achieving the conversion. Google processes this data on servers in the United States, but will not associate it with any personal data from your Google Account.
